Another dog park?

We need your voice, again! The City of GR is considering opening another dog park. There is a meeting scheduled to solicit citizen input -- so please attend if you'd like to see more dog parks in the area.

Here are the specifics:

On Thursday, October 20, 2005 at 7:00 p.m. a public meeting will be held at the Westside Complex, 215 Straight Avenue N.W. for the purpose of reviewing draft reuse scenarios for the former Butterworth Landfill. Staff from the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), the consultant E2, who prepared the plans (paid by the EPA as part of the EPA's Return to Use Initiative) and the City will be in attendance to provide background information, answer questions and receive input on the various scenarios.

Notice has been given to the West Grand Neighborhood Association, South West Area Neighbors, West Leonard Business Association, West Fulton Business Association, Stockbridge Business Association, John Ball Park Neighborhood Association and the West Grand Rapids Planning Committee for distribution to neighbors/members.
