Hey fellow dog park enthusiasts,I wanted to let everyone know that when I talked to the person at the Advance, I was told that this was going to be a positive article for dog parks as well as the petition. Instead, it was quite negative and I was terribly misquoted throughout. I will not be happy if the outcome of all of this work by everyone is just for the city to take something away from what we have done. This is not the case at all! I will be happy if the city comes back and says that this is a positive thing and that a dog park will occur in GR! This is what we are all working towards and nothing less.

It is not surprising that you were misquoted ... especially since the photo in the article is of a dog ON a leash – not one of the dogs playing off leash! Advance missed that point too!
